Here's a question, totally unrelated to the course material, to get you used to the blog. This one is only worth one point. If you answer it, you get the point--if not, you don't.
Part of the purpose of this question is to identify any bugs in the blog or any problems you have connecting to it before the semester kicks in. If you run into problems, please e-mail me (kwilcox@illinois.edu) to let me know!
So here's the question: what is the most delicious thing you ate over winter break?
Deadline: Saturday, 1/22, midnight.

Your instructor here. I always go by "KW" on the blog. I'll get this one started: some crisp melt-in-your-mouth sugar cookies at a potluck Christmas party.
The most delicious thing I ate this break was a lobster bisque.
I made deliciously fattening oreo balls.
I had some nice and soft snicker-doodles that were amazing.
I had a crab turnover during Christmas break that was one of the most delicious appetizers I have ever tasted.
i had home-made rice krispy treats my neighbor made for my family. I ended up eating the entire plate by myself, oops!!
I decided to combine chicken and carnitas in my Chiptle burrito, and the result was amazing.
Hawaiian Banana Bread
Karla Roach's Pizza
Your instructor here--just pointing out that we already have two Anonymous's here. Anonymous 1/17 5:08 sent me e-mail disclosing her real name (and promising to use a different name in future), but theidentity of Anonymous 1/19 2:47 pm remains mysterious.

I had beef tenderloin with a red wine sauce that my mom always makes for Christmas. Soooo good!!
I had a deliciously grilled catfish with a 7-layered salad that was topped with homemade salad dressing and croutons and cornbread.
I had a wonderful chocolate croissant while down in New Orleans. I was walking by a bakery ridiculously early in the morning and the croissant had just been made. Yum.
My mom always does a ton of Christmas baking, and my favorite thing that she makes are chocolate chip cookies. They are the perfect "homey" comfort food.
I had Baskin Robbins icecream in korea. There's this flavor called shooting star and it is seriously amazing... i wonder why they don't have it in the states...
My mom makes a homemade breakfast on the morning of Christmas Day. I absolutely love her fried potatoes and onions.
The best thing that I ate over break was definitely my grandma's baked macaroni and cheese...made with 7 different kinds of cheese, topped with bread crumbs!
My sister-in-law made some fantastic spaghetti over break.
Cheesecake.
There are so many responses I could give. . . One of my favorites, however, is probably TGI Friday's parmesan crusted chicken and cheese tortellini with a side of tomato and mozzerella salad. It's so good, I had it twice. Yum.
For a birthday dinner, I ate at Wildfire and ordered a dish with various meats including ribs, pulled pork, and sliced brisket.
The most delicious thing I ate over break were pineapple cheese wontons from Ra!
Chocolate Espresso Torte with raspberry glaze made by my daughter.
